If there is a downside to blogging, I have yet to find it. The
more you learn about blogging, the more there is to like.
In fact, here are 6 mouth-watering reasons why every marketer should be blogging:
1- Fast Search Engine Spidering and Indexing of Your Site:
Did you know that Google owns the most popular blogging platform on the planet? Blogger at http://www.blogger.com is used to
produce thousands of blogs. Even a complete internet newbie can set up a blog in about 5 minutes at Blogger. And guess who can be counted on to come by and quickly spider all those new blog posts as they are written?
Yahoo is also embracing blogs and feeds in a big way. Savvy
marketers know that adding their blogs and feeds to their
MyYahoo page can bring the Yahoo spider to their site almost immediately. more »

Submit your site to 1,000,000 search engines and directories for $19.99. Sounds too good to be true. Well it is! 90% of
submissions sites are a waste of money.
It’s a common fallacy that you need to submit your site to
search engines on a regular basis.
Once your site is part of an index such as Google there is no
need to re-submit. more »

Sometimes our jobs as marketers means we need to look beyond the obvious. Google, for example, offers their Google Alerts service. At first glance, this may seem most useful to companies who want to track certain searches within their industry, or to hobbyists who want to stay on top of changes in their topics of interest.
But Internet marketers can also use Google Alerts to help keeptrack of what's going on around the net, and even to keep tabs on their direct competition for that matter. Google Alerts, which are email notifications, can be created based on the top 10 Google news stories, but more helpful to marketers is thepossibility of creating alerts for the top 20 Google web search results. more »

How To Design Your Website Right The First Time
Corporate Website Design and Image:
The image your website design projects on the internet is one of the most important aspects you need to keep in mind at all times when choosing a website design firm or designing the website yourself.
It is very important to remember that most of your visitors haven't spoken to you yet and your site will be the first impression they have of your company. If your website design lacks professionalism and/or does not reflect that of a well established company, your new prospect can easily loose confidence.
Although probably very well intentioned, most website design firms lack the experience and artistic skill to give their clients the website design that truly represents them. You'll probably quickly realize that programmers are not the best designers. That is why a website design company should have their production teams split in 2. Hire a website designer or designers who create layouts and website programmers who, when the website design is approved, codes the layout so it becomes a website. Somewhere around 60% of the work on an average website (10 pages) should be on its design (choosing the right pictures, text layouts, menus and disposition for the overall website).
